Stars Wars Fans Can Now Experience The Entire Epic Series In A New Way

Star Wars fans can experience the series in a whole new way – through the mesmerizing musical scores found throughout all six films. Three-story-tall high-def screens will be displaying footage from the movies around the stage, and the performances will be narrated by Anthony Daniels, who played C-3P0. Don’t expect to see the actor clad in gold armor or playing the part of the beloved robot; he’s strictly there to host and narrate the performances.

In addition to traveling with a full symphony orchestra and some of the largest HD screens ever put on tour, the performances will also be bringing along some of the various artifacts, production artwork, props, and costumes. As if that wasn’t enough to make most die-hard Star Wars fans strap on their lightsabers and head out to attend the performance, the performances will also feature specially created behind-the-scenes videos from the fabled Lucasfilm Archives; some of these pieces have never left Skywalker Ranch before, making this an enticing treat indeed.

When asked to comment on the creation of the performance pieces, George Lucas himself said:

“We’ve taken the key themes from the music and cut together all the images that fit with each theme, so you can really get a sense of how the music played into the images. The whole soundtrack is a testament to John Williams’ creativity and his extraordinary ability to enhance the emotional aspects of the films.”

The concert will be embarking on its memorable journey across the globe starting with a concert at Anaheim, CA’s Honda Center on October 1, 2009. From there, it will make a stop in Phoenix, Sacramento, San Jose, and Los Angeles, Ca; Seattle, WA; Portland, OR; Oklahoma City and Tulsa, OK. More locations are to be announced later on, and Star Wars In Concert tickets for the dates that have already been set are currently available through StubPass.com.
