Criss Angel Blows Minds

Criss Angel will bring his mind-blowing blend of illusion and magic to hundreds of audiences at the Luxor Theatre in Las Vegas, Nevada’s Luxor Hotel throughout 2013. This show, Criss Angel Believe, is collaboration between Criss and the Cirque du Soleil troupe, is going to be an evening of illusion and entertainment that you or your family won’t soon forget.

Born in 1967, Criss Angel is perhaps best known for his television program, Criss Angel Mindfreak, which aired on the A&E network, beginning in 2005. Some of the illusions featured on the show have been walking on water, walking up the side of the Luxor Hotel in Las Vegas, floating between buildings, and being run over by a steam roller. Criss has made numerous appearances on television, being featured on such programs as The Oprah Winfrey Show, The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, Late Night with David Letterman, and America’s Got Talent.

He has also acted in such famous shows as CSI: NY, and Rules of Engagement. Criss Angel Believe was actually planned for Broadway, but that evolved into the current show when Criss entered into an agreement with Cirque du Soleil, and the MGM Mirage (the Luxor’s parent company) who financed the show for $100 million.

Criss Angel has appeared in a multitude of shows, both live and on television, since bringing his own unique style and sensibilities to the worlds of magic and illusion. Often using a blend of shock, surprise, and even gore, Criss never fails to bring high quality entertainment to everyone who attends one of his spectacular performances.
A controversial figure to some for his outspoken demeanor and confrontational performance style, Criss Angel remains on the cutting edge of modern, psychological magic, bringing his talents to the forefront of many a show where his exploits seem all but impossible until they have been witnessed first-hand.

In fact, first-hand is the only real way to experience a Criss Angel show, as anything else simply can’t convey the awesome talent and ability for illusion and storytelling Criss brings to every performance. So, if you really want to see what Criss Angel is really about, pick up a few tickets for his show at the Luxor Hotel, and prepare to be amazed.

What is the Phantom of Las Vegas Show?

If you have heard rumors of a phantom in Las Vegas, then beware! Know that this man, this thing, is not your father! And it’s not The Phantom of the Opera production that you remember. However, it is the “official” Andrew Lloyd Webber Phantom jazzed up for Las Vegas.

Las Vegas is a huge city of entertainment, and features so many productions and establishments, you can hardly afford to stay in one spot for an entire evening. This is why Phantom – The Las Vegas Spectacular has been edited from its original running length, which runs almost three hours. The new show is 93 minutes long and has no intermission. The production was created by the original director and choreographer of the production (Harold Prince and Gillian Lynne) though it features updated sets and high-tech pyrotechnics and even some strobe lighting.

Best of all, the production is held inside the Venetian Resort Hotel Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. The theatre has been specially created to resemble the legendary Opera Garnier in Paris. The Phantom of the Opera is the now the longest-running musical in Broadway history, as well as the top grossing production of all time. This multiple Tony Award winning production features some of the most beautiful songs ever penned, including “Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again” and “Think of Me”, and of course, the universally known “The Phantom of the Opera” duet.

In the Vegas production, because of the exhausting schedule, three roles are double cast. This means that two actors in each pair will sing alternative performances. As of June 2011, the cast includes Anthony Crivello as the phantom, Kristi Holden as Christine, Andrew Ragone as Raoul, and Kristen Hertzenberg as a Christine alternate.

Public interest in the 1980s musical has increased ever since the 2004 movie adaptation of the play starring Gerard Butler, Emmy Rossum and Patrick Wilson. However, every actor who has ever played Phantom or Christine aspires to recreate the ghostly voice of Michael Crawford and the angelic tones of Sarah Brightman.

Phantom – The Las Vegas Spectacular Tickets are on sale at great prices for a Vegas show, not to mention an official Broadway production. Why not savor each sensation and listen to the music of the night, while having a great night in Vegas?
