Going to a Kelly Clarkson Concert? Bring a Request!
|
Going to a concert is sheer awesomeness for fans. Great music, a chance to see their musical idols live, and maybe even for the first time! But Kelly Clarkson has once again taken things up another level by taking song requests from the fans. Requests that she’ll actually sing! What’s more, the requests she takes are for covers, so it’s a chance to see her done something she’s never done before — adding awesome to awesome.
Kelly Clarkson covering songs as part of her concerts is something that she’s just recently started doing. And if you’re going to the show, all you have to do is tweet the song that you want to hear, and you might at some point during the show. Clarkson has recently rocked out to No Doubt’s “Don’t Speak,” Katy Perry‘s “Wide Awake,” and Britney Spears‘ “Everytime.” She’s even donned a hoodie during a recent Detroit concert and covered Eminem’s “Lose Yourself.” Sure she mostly sang it instead of rapping, but still something very cool to see.
Most recently, it was the current smash hit “Call Me Maybe” by Carly Rae Jepsen that Clarkson performed at a concert. After belting out the hit song, Clarkson added that the song “kind of confused me. Does it confuse anybody else? ‘Before you came into my life, I missed you so bad.’ Who did you miss? Because you didn’t know them….I don’t know.” To see her sing the song that confuses her, check it out here.
We don’t know either. But we do know that accepting tweet requests before a show is a great way for stars to take advantage of social media. And we hope more will start doing it!
