Criss Angel will bring his mind-blowing blend of illusion and magic to hundreds of audiences at the Luxor Theatre in Las Vegas, Nevada’s Luxor Hotel throughout 2013. This show, Criss Angel Believe, is collaboration between Criss and the Cirque du Soleil troupe, is going to be an evening of illusion and entertainment that you or your family won’t soon forget.
Born in 1967, Criss Angel is perhaps best known for his television program, Criss Angel Mindfreak, which aired on the A&E network, beginning in 2005. Some of the illusions featured on the show have been walking on water, walking up the side of the Luxor Hotel in Las Vegas, floating between buildings, and being run over by a steam roller. Criss has made numerous appearances on television, being featured on such programs as The Oprah Winfrey Show, The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, Late Night with David Letterman, and America’s Got Talent.
He has also acted in such famous shows as CSI: NY, and Rules of Engagement. Criss Angel Believe was actually planned for Broadway, but that evolved into the current show when Criss entered into an agreement with Cirque du Soleil, and the MGM Mirage (the Luxor’s parent company) who financed the show for $100 million.
Criss Angel has appeared in a multitude of shows, both live and on television, since bringing his own unique style and sensibilities to the worlds of magic and illusion. Often using a blend of shock, surprise, and even gore, Criss never fails to bring high quality entertainment to everyone who attends one of his spectacular performances.
A controversial figure to some for his outspoken demeanor and confrontational performance style, Criss Angel remains on the cutting edge of modern, psychological magic, bringing his talents to the forefront of many a show where his exploits seem all but impossible until they have been witnessed first-hand.
In fact, first-hand is the only real way to experience a Criss Angel show, as anything else simply can’t convey the awesome talent and ability for illusion and storytelling Criss brings to every performance. So, if you really want to see what Criss Angel is really about, pick up a few tickets for his show at the Luxor Hotel, and prepare to be amazed.
Bob Seger Hits the Road in 2013
Bob Seger, popular classic rocker, takes his show on the road this spring with dates across the Mid-West and Canada.
Bob got his start in 1961 with a local band called “The Decibels.” They were a local favorite, and recorded a demo called “The Lonely One” at Del Shannon’s studio. Seger’s first original song, it was also the first song of his to be played on the radio, airing once on an Ann-Arbor, Michigan station.
Once this band broke up, Seger joined the Town Criers, another local band that became crowd favorites with Bob on lead vocals. From here, he moved on to a variety of other bands until he started his own band “The Last Heard”, which soon became “The Bob Seger System”. This band was signed to Capitol Records, and their second single, “Ramblin’ Gamblin’ Man” was a hit, reaching #62 on the charts and giving Seger his first real taste of success.
Seger released a solo album in 1970, and began forging relationships with long-time collaborators Alto Reed, Shaun Murphy, and the Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section. However, he was becoming frustrated and began searching for another band. In 1974, he began the Silver Bullet Band, and kicked of the era that saw his greatest success as a musician.
By 1975, Seger was receiving strong airplay in radio markets around the country and had a mild hit with “Katmandu”. But, in 1976, Bob Seger released “Live Bullet”, the album that would catapult Bob and The Silver Bullet Band to stardom. Live Bullet would eventually sell 5 million albums and stay on the charts for 168 weeks. By 1976, the album “Night Moves” had been released, which was not only commercially successful, but was loved by the critics as well for the dramatic tale spun by the song. With numerous albums and hits under his belt since then, Bob Seger has become a legend among classic rock fans, and his songs are staples on radio stations around the world to this day.
If you want to see what real rock and roll is all about, then you need to catch Bob Seger live in concert this spring, and enjoy the music of a musical legend.

Copperfield, one of the most successful magicians in history according to Forbes magazine, has earned a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, been knighted, and received 11 Guinness World Records during a career that has spanned 3 decades and counting.
Copperfield performs over 500 shows a year and has sold over 40 million tickets and grossed $3 billion dollars, more than any entertainer in history.
A History of Magic
David began performing at age 10 around his neighborhood in Metuchen, New Jersey as “Davino the Boy Magician”. By the age of 12 he was admitted to the Society of American Magicians, becoming the youngest person ever to have done so.
David saw magic as a way of getting girls, and fitting in with the other kids when he would otherwise be too shy to talk to anyone. David first appeared on television in 1977, on a show called “The Magic of ABC”. Between 1977 and 2001, there would be 20 David Copperfield TV specials, and most of his TV appearances were on his specials or as a guest on another program.

A Sequel called David Copperfield’s Beyond Imagination was released in 1997.
According to Copperfield, his childhood heroes weren’t magicians, but were stage performers like Gene Kelly and Orson Welles. “They took their individual art forms and they moved people with them… I wanted to do the same thing with magic” says Copperfield. “I wanted to take magic and make it romantic, and make it sexy, and make it funny, and make it goofy… all the different things that a songwriter or a filmmaker gets to express.”
Get tickets and catch David Copperfield show, twice daily at the MGM Grand’s Hollywood Theater, and let him move you with magic like only he can.
WWE Shows Deliver Thrills and Excitement
The WWE brings their unique brand of sports entertainment to venues across the world, and 2013 looks to be an exciting year for wrestling fans. WWE Champion CM Punk, World Heavyweight Champion The Big Show, and Intercontinental Champion Wade Barrett promise to take on all comers when defending their titles, and there are no shortage of contenders on the roster of performers in The WWE.
The WWE began back in the 1950s when Roderick James “Jess” McMahon and Joseph Mondt started the Capitol Wrestling Corporation and began promoting wrestling matches in New York City, at Madison Square Garden. However, Jess died in 1954, and one of Mondt’s business associates brought in Vincent J. McMahon to fill his position in the company.
By the 1960s, the CWC had become the World Wide Wrestling Federation and featured such historic wrestlers as “Nature Boy” Buddy Rogers and Lou Thez, considered one of the greatest wrestlers in history. Other early stars from this era included Lou Albano, who would later become one of the most well-known figures in pro wrestling, and “Superstar” Billy Graham, the influence of wrestlers like Hulk Hogan and Jesse “The Body” Ventura.
The Beginning of the WWE
The WWE officially got underway in 1980 when Vincent K. McMahon, the current CEO of the WWE, and his father started Titan Sports. Vince later purchased his father’s shares and the shares of other stockholders and began pushing the WWE – then known as the WWF – across the country and on national television. Vince also began selling videos of his matches, an unheard of practice at the time.
From there the WWE continued to grow, becoming the top promotion for wrestling in the country and bringing hundreds of shows to fans on a yearly basis. From their colorful past to their meteoric rise to the top of the wrestling game, the WWE has something to offer every wrestling fan, and the best way to experience it first hand is to buy tickets for one of the live shows near you in 2013. If you want action, excitement and fun, you’ll be mightily entertained.
Should RG3 have been Benched in Redskins’ Loss to Seattle?
During the Washington Redskins’ first playoff game of the season, they lost to the Seattle Seahawks by a score of 24-14. And it was ugly. RG3, who was the best hope Washington had to further themselves in the postseason, got injured twice — both injuries to his right knee, an area that he’s already been benched for this season. The first time he injured the knee was in the first half, and he went back out to play. Now, those who love controversy, are saying that he should never have gone back in.
It’s an easy argument, to say that Griffin should have been benched and Cousins should stepped in much sooner than he did. Even when you consider that Cousins had missed practice that week due to illness, and the fact that the Seahawks’ defense has been one of the toughest to beat this year. After all, this is Griffin’s health we’re talking about and possibly, his career that he has only just begun. So yes, perhaps he should have been sat after he first injured his knee in the first half.
But, the other side of the story always must be considered. First, there was a conversation that took place on the sidelines once Griffin was hurt the first time. Coach Mike Shanahan asked him if he was good to play, and Griffin answered, “I’m hurt, not injured.” Really, what player isn’t at least somewhat hurt after just coming off the field? And while this is the hottest line being tossed around in the debate of whether Griffin should have been benched, the actual conversation was likely much longer than that. These talks are very typical between the coach and the player, as the decision is largely theirs to make.
So maybe Shanahan really doesn’t trust Griffin at his word. And maybe he knew he was putting the kid’s career in jeopardy when he sent him back out there. But that’s not likely the case. After all, Griffin didn’t really seem all that hurt on the field. There was some maneuvering, and sometimes yes, he limped. Again, these are things that nearly every football player does while they’re playing football. Especially when it’s a playoff game. And even if Griffin was showing signs of weakness, he also showed signs of strength, tossing a touchdown after he went back out.
The culture of football is typically cutthroat, as we’ve seen with teams just this past year. But would a coach really knowingly risk his own player’s health? In the first game of the playoffs, and with many good years still left in him? Would the player knowingly severely injure himself, in the hopes that he can at least make a couple good plays in the meantime? None of it is likely. What’s more probable is that both Shanahan and Griffin took a risk, as players and coaches do every day in the NFL. Unfortunately this time, it didn’t work out for either of them.
Catch Bill O’Reilly in 2013
Bill O’Reilly will be bringing his unique brand of political commentary to a venue near you in 2013.
Bill O’Reilly, an American author, historian, and host of the FOX News program “The O’Reilly Factor”, is taking his show on the road in 2013, delivering his own brand of “conservative” commentary and political views to shows all across America.
O’Reilly himself considers his views to be more “independent” and “traditionalist” than conservative, but his views on many subjects remain popular among his conservative fan base.
Humble Beginnings
O’Reilly’s career began in Scranton, Pennsylvania, where he anchored as well as delivered the weather. He won an Emmy for his local coverage of a hijacking when he worked in Denver, Colorado before working at TV stations in Oregon, Connecticut, and Boston, Mass.
By 1986, O’Reilly joined ABC news as a correspondent after delivering a eulogy for his friend Joe Spencer, who had died in a tragic helicopter crash while covering striking plant workers. Then head of ABC news, Roone Arledge, who had also attended Spencer’s funeral, decided to hire O’Reilly after hearing this eulogy.
Nationwide Attention
At ABC, O’Reilly hosted briefs and previews of stories that would be featured on upcoming broadcasts of World News Tonight and as a general reporter on programs such as Nightline and Good Morning America.
Bill joined the King World produced “Inside Edition” in 1989, becoming the program’s anchor after only three weeks. O’Reilly was one of the first broadcasters who covered the fall of the Berlin Wall as well as being one of the first to broadcast from the area devastated by the 1992 Los Angeles riots.
O’Reilly left Inside Edition in 1995 and went back to school, earning a master’s degree in Public Administration.
The O’Reilly Factor
Then, in 1996, he was hired by Roger Ailes to host “The O’Reilly Report” on the fledgling FOX News Channel. This show was soon renamed “The O’Reilly Factor” after Bill’s friend John Tantillo, a noted branding expert, made remarks about “The O’Reilly Factor” in any of the stories Bill was presenting.
Since then, Bill has written books and become a popular speaker in shows across the United States. Tickets to see Bill O’Reilly live in 2013 are on sale now, and no matter what your political affiliation may be, his shows are a must see event for anyone who cares about honest political discourse. Lil Wayne is Touring Europe for the First Time Ever!
With all of the career success (and personal trouble) that he’s seen in the United States over the past few years, it’s little wonder that Lil Wayne hasn’t yet had the chance to travel across the pond to Europe. Now, after a short stint of being drama-free, he’s taking the opportunity to bring his music to fans all throughout Europe; and he’s bringing a new record with him, too!
That record will be I Am Not a Human Being 2, Wayne’s tenth studio album. Die-hard fans have already gotten a taste of the record with the first single from it, “No Worries,” that’s been sitting on the Billboard charts for the past several weeks. The album in its entirety will be released on February 19, 2013.
Just a few short weeks after the album release, Lil Wayne will head to Dublin to play in the O2 Arena on March 8, 2013. Remaining in Europe for most of the month, the rapper will travel to some of the biggest stops across the continent including the Netherlands, France, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Germany, and Belgium, to name just a few. The tour will wrap up at the Ziggo arena in Amsterdam. Lil Wayne will also be bringing some company along with him for the ride, including Mac Miller and 2 Chainz.
If you haven’t had the chance to see Lil Wayne in concert yet, you may want to take this opportunity. He’s recently stated that his love of music is slowly wearing off, and that he’s becoming interested in other things — namely skateboarding.
“I know y’all want me around for a little bit,” the rapper recently stated in an interview. “But I’ve been rapping since I was 8 years old; I’m 30 now. That’s a long time and I like to do so many more things. And [when] I love to do something, I’m fully focused on it and it only. And music sometimes is not that ‘it.'”
College Football Bowl Games in Full Swing
With the holiday season imminent, college football fans also know that their favorite college teams are preparing for their respective bowl games. While a few bowl games have already been played including the MAACO Bowl Las Vegas, the R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl, Famous Idaho Potato Bowl, Gildan New Mexico Bowl, San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia and Beef ‘O’ Brady Bowl St. Petersburg, there are still 28 more bowl games to come. These games will take place from Christmas Eve through January 6th.
Of course, all of these games will culminate in the Discover BCS National Championship featuring No. 1 Notre Dame versus No. 2 Alabama. These two teams are steeped in college football tradition. They both have some of the most storied football history with several epic games. This is Notre Dame’s first chance at a national championship since 1988. The Crimson Tide on the other hand is after their third national title in the last four seasons. Needless to say, this game is going to be a nail biter for college football fans.
Some of the other must see bowl games include the AT&T Cotton Bowl featuring No. 9 Texas A&M with Johnny Manzielle (or “Johnny Football” as A&M fans call him) against Oklahoma State. The game will take place in Cowboy Stadium, aka Jerry’s World, and is billed as one of the most entertaining bowl games this season that is guaranteed to be an offensive shootout.
Another top game to see will be the famous Tostitos Fiesta Bowl with No. 4 Oregon versus No. 5 Kansas State. Some believe this will be the best game outside of the national championship game. Just two months ago, these teams were thought to be the two in the national championship game, but losses along the way changed the bowl game lineup.
Don’t forget you can see all of these games live and in person with tickets from StubPass.com, where you can find NCAA football tickets all season long.
What is the Carnival of Wonders?
When you first hear it, “Carnival of Wonders“, the name may sound a bit cheesy. If you take a moment and give it a chance, however, you will find the name is fitting and perfect for the show, which is in actuality charming and full of class and spectacle. This is a show you could bring your whole family to and, wonderfully enough, everyone would find something to love about it before the night is through.
The Carnival of Wonders isn’t just a magic show. Oh sure, there is plenty of magic to go around, but what it really involves is three gifted performers that call on all types of talent within themselves to make for one amazing theatrical experience. There is drama, there is laughter, there are even gasps and mystery, and by the end of the night, you too will wonder how they put that smile on your face that can’t be erased.
The three stars of the show are Jeff Hobson, Jinger Leigh, and Mark Kalin. Jinger and Mark are a couple, and founded the show back in 1999. Jeff Hobson joined the act and brought a good dose of comedy and charm with him. The Carnival of Wonders has won several awards, and Jinger and Mark have even been bestowed with the title Magicians of the Year, one of the highest honors you can get in the profession. Other magicians bestowed with this honor include the greats like David Copperfield, Penn & Teller, and David Blain.
The scene is almost that of a long forgotten traveling carnival with all the dark mystery and fun surrounding it. The show typically runs for 90 minutes, and includes death defying feats, well known and brand new magic tricks, choreographed dance numbers, stories, jokes, and plenty of other wonders to keep you amazed.
The show may be rare to find these days, so be sure to catch the act in your town when they come on tour! The Carnival of Wonders is set to make its next appearance in Mount Pleasant, Michigan at the Soaring Eagle Casino and Resort. Give your family a dose of nostalgia or a brand new experience they will never forget by taking them to see the Carnival of Wonders!
Taylor Swift Releases Bad Girl Image in “I Knew You Were Trouble” Video
Taylor Swift used her 23rd birthday yesterday to show the world that she’s not a little girl anymore by debuting her video for “I Knew You Were Trouble.” In the video for the third single from her Red album you won’t find one sundress, one glimpse of Paris, or even a flower. You will find an all grown-up Taylor Swift, although you may not recognize her at first.
Donning fedoras and flannel, sleeveless t’s and ripped jeans, and perhaps most shocking of all, a pink and blonde dip-dyed wig, Taylor stands in a parking lot looking around at the trouble that has been caused from her latest relationship. Different? Definitely. Believable? Not if you’ve been following Taylor’s career.
Wardrobe aside, this video provides for many of Taylor’s firsts. It is the first time she’s ever had an on-screen kiss in any video, it’s the first time as far as we can tell that she includes a spoken intro to the video, and it’s also the first time we’ve ever seen Taylor in a bar. A really tough, gritty bar.
That bar is one of the many settings in this video that portrays a punk lifestyle that just hasn’t been part of Taylor’s bag of tricks in the past. These settings are used as flashbacks from a time when she was happy with her boyfriend (Broadway star, Reeve Carney), to when she saw him cheating on her. A fight between her and her beau in a broken down apartment is also added in to make certain lyrics even more poignant; and to add to the “rougher side of the tracks” scenario Taylor’s trying to create.
The song is a good one, and definitely strays from Taylor’s musical roots, as does much of Red. But does this one go too far? While definitely not predictable, this one goes into a nearly surreal side of the sweet country girl we’ve seen with her past tracks, as well as videos. But, is that also the exact point Taylor’s trying to drive home? That’s for you to decide.
Check out the video here.
