Is Taylor Swift Coming to Your School?

She might not come to your actual school (although you could ask her if she wanted a guided tour) but Taylor Swift could be coming to an arena near your school if you get out and vote for her to come!

In conjunction with “VH1 Storytellers” and Chegg for Good, Taylor Swift is holding a contest that will have her playing an acoustic concert near the winning school. The school can be either a college or a high school (students need to be at least 13 years old,) and students can vote for their school here: www.taylorswiftoncampus.com.

The school that receives the most amount of votes will win the grand prize of the Taylor Swift concert and of course, all bragging rights that go along with it. Along with that, the top five schools with the most votes will receive $10,000 for their music department, awarded by Taylor Swift and Chegg for Good. Snippets of the concert will then be broadcast on “VH1 Storytellers” on VH1 on Sunday, November 11. This being just weeks after the release of her fourth studio album, Red, fans can certainly expect to hear a lot about the creative process for that album.

Voting is currently open and will be until September 23, with the concert occurring on or around October 15. Schools must be within the continental United States, and in order to vote you must like Taylor’s Facebook page. Voting is also open to anyone who is of age and lives in the U.S.; you do not need to be a student of the school. However, just because you vote doesn’t necessarily mean you’ll get in. The winning school will be awarded the tickets and administrators will be responsible for distributing the tickets.
