Avril Teases Song from New Album, asks Fans for Help with Video

Avril Lavigne is expected to release her fifth studio album any day now (some sources were claiming as soon as this month); and in that time, she knows how to keep fans on the edge of their seats. Recently she took to her Facebook page to preview a clip of the first single and, she’s asking for your help when it comes to making the video!

It was last week when Avril blasted out on her Facebook page, “So stoked to share a clip of my new single & a chance for you to be in the lyric video! ‘Here’s To Never Growing Up'” What followed was 13 seconds of what can only be a bridge or a chorus, with a male voice singing “Here’s to never growing up,” with Avril’s signatures “Whoa-o, whoa-o” in the background.

It’s also through Avril’s Facebook page that fans can submit videos to be a part of the lyric video for the single once it’s released. The video can feature fans living life with a “never growing up” mindset, or lip-synching the words to the song. For full details on how to participate, you can find them on the Facebook page here.

A March release for the entire album is no longer looking like a possibility, but fans might hope for April. That’s the month when Avril will release the full version of “Here’s to Never Growing Up,” which was co-written by herself and her fiancĂ©, Chad Kroeger of Nickelback. The song was produced by Martin Johnson, frontman for Boys Like Girls.
