A Singing Spiderman?

Spiderman MusicalUntil very recently, the character of Spiderman in the upcoming musical Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark  was not supposed to sing at all. Developments of late, however, suggest that there may be some last minute changes to the score, the scenes, and the musical play altogether. Reeve Carney, lead singer of the rock band Carney, has been cast as the webbed crusader, and this has begun a bit of speculation as to the future of the show. Hiring a professional singer to play the role of a non-musical character doesn’t seem to make too much sense. We do love surprise and intrigue, though, so this is most likely one of those good last minute changes.

As the Green Goblin, Alan Cumming has cast and appears to be looking forward to revitalizing yet another Marvel piece. The live stage is far different from the world of films, but this doesn’t seem to phase the seasoned action star, who is set to begin preproduction and rehearsals with the rest of the crew very shortly. Back in August of 2009, a few delays held up the planning and the actually launching of the endeavor, the casting elements undoubtedly having something to do with this.

Miss Mary Jane Watson will be played on the live stage by Evan Rachel Wood, a knock out actress with very little action or stage experience under her petite little belt. What she does have, however, are loads of presence, appeal, beauty, and talent, all of which producers hope will help us to fall in love with our beloved Spiderman’s girl. Then musical revival of Spiderman is set to hit the stage in 2010, and will keep you posted on all developments and news regarding this highly anticipated event.

The Teen Queen of the CMA’s

Taylor Swift Fearless TourA young, proud, and stunning Taylor Swift took the stage for three big awards at the CMA’s last week, finally accepting the coveted Entertainer of the Year Award from presenter and fellow musician Kenny Chesney. Unlike her experience at the VMA ‘s some months ago, Taylor was the very deserving and well received winner over some of her most important idols. This 19 year old country music superstar is fast becoming a household name, crossing over seamlessly onto the light rock and pop charts with four of her last 5 singles.

Taylor Swift’s crew have announced an extensive and long lived touring schedule for the up and coming road trip entitles The Fearless Tour. With the great success of her Crossroads endeavor with one of her rock and roll idols Def Leppard, she has absolutely nothing to fear indeed. A big, bad rapper couldn’t get the best of this girl, a songwriter extraordinaire by the age of 15 who broke onto the country scene with a little ditty called Tim McGraw, which would wind up at number one within one week and remain there for nearly five.

The Fearless Tour kicks off from Europe, beginning in the UK on November 23rd and carrying out just two performances before heading off to the land down under for an extended stay and 7 shows. Once Australia has had their fair share of Taylor, wrapping up from Adelaide on February 12th, she heads back to North America, takes an over two week break, and sets off through Florida for the American leg.

From Florida, the Fearless Tour hits 22 states, many of them, such as Texas, being offered multiple shows during separate stops along the way. The tour finally winds up in Washington, DC, on June 2 for one last performance. No Canada shows have been announced as of yet.

NFL Recap: Who’s Safe This Week?

There is a word for the way things are going for a few of the premier NFL teams thus far this year. I believe the season can be summed up with a profound Wow. The New Orleans Saints have defied the past statistics and a broken the 7-0 mark for the first time since the early 1980’s. Now standing at 8-0 and having taken last week’s game with a great burst of gusto, this is certainly a team that will continue to intimidate and shake up its completion for the remainder of the season. Can’t wait to see how this plays out.

We have just one other undefeated team standing in the NFL this season, that being the Indianapolis Colts. Between these two, a great many predictions and comparisons can be made, but the proof will certainly be in the pudding by the time week 16 rolls around. Of course, there is still plenty of room for both of these teams to be taken over at the top, but wouldn’t it be something to watch them continue on undefeated until they meet head to head? We can only hope at this point.

The Minnesota Vikings stand currently at 7-1 on the season, placing them in second place for the league and keeping them well in the running should either of our perfect teams take a tumble in the coming weeks. With things as capable of shuffling and shifting as they are, each and every game is anyone’s until the final snap.

New England Patriots, Cincinnati  Bengals, Denver Broncos, and Dallas Cowboys are all tied at 6-2 for the season thus far, with a great many predictions pointing the Dallas Cowboys out of the running within the next few weeks. The Tim McGraw Tour Extends To 2010

Tim McgrawThe final tour date for the 2009 calendar year happens on November 12th at the San Manuel Indian Bingo and Casino in Highland, California. After this, Tim takes a long deserved break to be the family man that he is at heart before taking back to the road beginning in April of 2010. Tim McGraw and fellow country music superstar wife Faith Hill have been married since 1996, when their first tour together ended. During that tour, Faith Hill was the opening act for an up-and-coming Tim, but this is when everything changed in both of their worlds.

Falling in love and getting married turned out to be just the first two blessings for these star struck lovers. The arrival of their first baby girl would be the next beautiful surprise for the couple, and they would follow this up with their first smash duet, Let’s Make Love. Faith beginning a predestined path toward individual stardom in her own right, Tim McGraw was far from finished capturing his signature sound and captivating his soon to be mega fan following.

By 2000, Tim had planted his sound and his style firmly in the fabric of the radio waves. Every single hit that he produced went straight from the country charts top fives to the pop charts top tens, and this pattern continues to follow him to this very day. Tim McGraw also went out on a limb after his 2002 tour, heading back into the studio to record an album with his tour band, the Dancehall Doctors. This move turned out very well for everyone involved, and two consecutive smash albums have been created in the same fashion.

Tulsa, Oklahoma will see the first of Tim McGraw live in April of 2010, as he heads form there to Ohio, Georgia, California, and then Indiana. Please stay tuned to for current updates and news.

Bon Jovi: Back To The Old Tricks They Are So Good At!

Bon JoviThe Circle is Bon Jovi’s eleventh studio album to date, as well as being the fifth one released during this decade. This excludes any individual projects undertaken by the band’s members on a solo basis, of which there have also been quite a few. These guys just aren’t willing to hang it up, and we couldn’t be more happy about that. As maturity and an entire world of new sounds and techniques catches up with the four original band members, their music finds dimensions and tones that will simply inspire you. Always the perfectionists, this newest album has introduced another producer to the team that is Bon Jovi.

The Circle was released in Germany during October to a whirlwind first push, and became available in the United States on November 2nd, followed by passionate reviews and kicking off a tour announcement that has longtime fans awestruck and in tense anticipation for this highly in-demand event. The tour is absolutely guaranteed to produce a great deal of sold out venues before the band even hits the open road. This has been the case in the past, and Bon Jovi has stated their readiness for a very long and intense series of shows.

Seattle, Washington will be the first North American city to get an ear-and-eyeful of Bon Jovi’s Circle Tour antics, sure to be some of the finest on the planet come February 19th, 2010. From here, the band heads to California for one date, over to Arizona for a show, and then back to Cali for four in a row. So far, over 60 venues have been announced, touching nearly all 50 states, and the projected windup of the tour is set for July 30th from Soldier Field in Chicago, Illinois. The Heart Throb And His Trusty Guitar: John Mayer Heading Your Way

John MayerJohn Mayer is not just a guy and his guitar, it turns out, but rather a contributor to several genres of music, and a master of nearly all of them. The John Mayer Trio knew quite a bit of success after John threw it together with two studio musicians who had earned his respect, and this project garnered them five Grammy nominations during 2005. From here, John begun to dabble with many styles of music, even working with and gaining immense respect from rap moguls Jay-Z and Nellie.

Aside from his highly public relationship with classy, beautiful, down to earth, A-List actress Jennifer Aniston, the ex-wife of Brad Pitt, John tends to be a man of few words, and has learned through this very public relationship that the words you do speak are most often the ones that count.

The first leg of the 2010 tour will take place in the UK, where Mr. Mayer will perform four shows between the dates of January 15th and January 19th. From here, he heads back to North America, taking a nearly three week break before resuming the North American leg on February 8th from North Charleston Coliseum in South Carolina. From here, he heads to Alabama, Tennessee, and Michigan, respectively, and then off to Canada he goes.

Three shows in British Columbia will be received before John and the crew head back down to Connecticut, his very own home state, and a few other East Coast performances before the show heads back to Michigan and feels its way throughout the Midwest for a while. The entire West Coast and the south will also see their fair share of John Mayer before the tour closes from the United Center in Chicago, Illinois on April 10th. Please visit regularly for up to the minute news and schedule information.

Who Will Your Favorite College Team Be Watching Out For This Week?

The Big Ten are in for yet another enormously important November. As with each and every season that has come to pass, the games played during this month are pivotal, difficult, gut-wrenching, and they tend to determine who is destined for greatness. Division champions will be decided, with conference play turning things up to a whole other degree or fierce. By the time the Rose Bowl rolls around, anything and everything could change.

We’ve got a Penn State team this year who is currently at an 8-1 record, but there seems to be some questions as to whether they have even been challenged properly thus far. One loss after 9 games is usually considered a pretty great start, but critics and experts seem to be under the impression that Penn State may crumble under the pressure and weight of a real challenge. We shall see soon enough, as the Ohio State Buckeyes take them on for game ten next week.

Can anybody say Duke? Well, you might want to get used to that name, and seeing these guys for a while, because they have become the ACC Coastal team to beat this season thus far, showing complete control and an utter drive which guarantees them a running toward conference finals. Georgia Tech is also pretty pumped up and raring to go this year, with one more game standing between them and Duke. Funny world.

The Iowa Hawkeyes made a huge impression on everybody Halloween day, as they were pummeled up until the end of the third quarter and looked to be falling quickly from grace. Enter: Ricky Stanzi. Never during this generation has a fourth quarter been so exhilarating, so dynamic, so inspirational, and so victorious as the one that these guys rallied for. Here’s to hoping for a little bit more of that heart and determination in the coming month.

Looking For Some Absolution In Week 9: The NFL Breakdown

If absolution is what teams and fans are looking for during the heady pairings week 9 has in store, disappointment is sure to prevail. There are some amazing things going on in the NFL right now, a few undefeated teams fighting to keep it that way, and it seems that a few of our professional franchises haven’t even found a rhythm or stride yet. The latter is a mistake of gargantuan proportions, as it will take an enormous string of misfortunes and pandemonium at the top in order for the stragglers catch up now.

Starting with the New Orleans Saints, we can begin to see what an earth shattering season this is turning out to be, the Saints setting out to defend their 7-0 record this week, going against, of all teams, the Carolina Panthers. Now, this might not seem like such a tough endeavor, as the Panthers are 3-4 currently and have lost to teams that the Saints have completely dominated. But there’s just something about this team lead by John Fox that tends to knock the Saints for a loop. Six out of seven consecutive games against the Panthers have found the Saints on the losing end.

Aside from this exciting face-off, we also get to see the Dallas Cowboys take on the Eagles, and it is rather surprising that the Eagles are favored to win this one. The New York Giants are vying for a win over the Chargers this Sunday as well, and are favored to take it with little hassle. Maybe you’re more interested in watching the Buccaneers square off against Green Bay in a game that they are expected to lose. Monday night football heads the Broncos against the Steelers, so keep your schedule wide open for that one. offers the best NFL Football Tickets!
